Our History

Sri Ramakrishna Educational Institutions whose root has many sprouts today such as Sri Ramakrishna Matric. Hr. Sec. School, Sri Saradha Devi Girls Hr. Sec. School and Sri Saradha College for Women had its humble beginning as a Nursery and Primary School on 6th June 1983 in the name of Sri Ramakrishna,the great religious leader, with thirty students. Sri Kalyana Sundara Siva Prakasa Swamigal and late Thirumuruga Kirubhananda Variar Swamigal inaugurated the building in the year 1990.

` Presently the educational institutions have become a pioneer in the cause of education with a glorious strength of 1500 students in Ramakrishna Matric. Hr. Sec. School, 300 students in Sri Saradha Devi Girls Hr. Sec. School, and 450 students in Sri Saradha College for Women.

These institutions render their educational service under Sri Swami Vivekananda Educational Trust. The Trust registered in the year 1989, functions with 4 members as its trustees. It provides free education to more than 20 students every year. It encourages the outstanding students by awarding prizes in cash and gold. It also appreciates the dedication of staff members and honours them duly.

Sri Ramakrishna Matric Hr. Sec. School got recognition from the Director of School Education for I to VI standard in the year 1990.Classes were upgraded every year and the first batch of students appeared for the 10th Matric Public Examination in the year 1994.It was upgraded as a Higher Secondary School in the year 1996. “Sri Ramakrishna School for Achievers” was started in the year 2003-2004 as part of the higher secondary school with the aim of turning meritorious students into achievers.

True to the ideal that there is no substitute for hardwork, students of Sri Ramakrishna School of Achievers proved their mettle in the first year of its inception by securing District I and II in the +2 public exam.

Realising the importance of Women’s education, sprung Sri Saradha Devi Girls Hr. Sec. School which got recognition in the year 1994 to conduct classes from VI to X standard. It was upgraded in the year 1999 as a higher secondary school.

Our Trust started a college in the name of Annai Sri Saradha in a temporary building in 2000. It was inaugurated by late.Thiru Arangarajan Kumaramangalam, then Union Minister of Power, in the presence of distinguished invitees- Dr.Jagadeesan, the Vice-Chancellor and Phanindra Reddy, the Collector of Perambalur District.72 students were admitted in the first year and now the admission has gone up to nearly 500.

The college began with five under graduate courses –B.Sc Information Technology, B.Sc Computer Science, B.C.A., B.Com., and B.B.A. Within a short span of 5 years of its inception it has expanded to 9 under graduate courses and 2 post graduate courses,all affiliated to the Bharathidasan University and recognized by the government of Tamilnadu. Two new courses ,B.Sc Microbiology and M.A Tamil are likely to be started in the coming academic year.

The college provides excellent opportunity for the students to blend academic excellence with extra curricular and co-curricular activities so as to form an integrated personality. “We must; We can; We will” is our keynote of all constructive activities and we are striving hard to reach the pinnacle of fame and glory and set a record of triumph, tribute and eulogies.
